If you’re like most people, you’re accustomed to eating mostly what you want, when you want. Deciding to start the Soprecious weight loss nutritional detox Diet requires many changes in your eating habits and even your lifestyle (you have to shop for new foods, probably at different stores, and cook them in new ways).
It’s very natural to start craving foods you have eliminated, and it’s likely that the main craving you will have will be for a sweet taste: anything that has sugar or tastes sweet.
Our desire for a sweet taste starts when we’re born and can be better understood if we use the expansion/contraction principle. Breast milk, created to nourish both the baby and its developing inner ecosystem, is rich in milk sugar.
An expanding food, it helps babies—who are contracted little beings—grow and expand. Baby’s first foods, pureed fruits and sweet vegetables (carrots, winter squash, sweet potatoes), are also expanding. This natural sugar is not a problem if a healthy inner ecosystem has been established and maintained. The beneficial microflora thrive on it. But since a new mother is never taught to focus on her baby’s inner world—that is, on creating a strong digestion/immune system—this rarely happens. Other foods are introduced, especially the many processed foods we eat today, and sugar in one form or another becomes part of most meals. By the time we are adults, we are completely unaware that we have had a sugar addiction since birth. When this weight loss detox eliminates these all at once, no wonder we crave something sweet, How to Satisfy That Sweet Tooth the first seven days on This Diet are the most difficult. There are several good solutions to help you squelch that sweet craving.
First, try the herb stevia in a cup of tea. Stevia does taste sweet, but it does not feed your yeast overgrowth. Research shows that it balances the body’s blood sugar. You can adjust the amount of stevia according to your taste. Artificial sweeteners are not on The Diet as they suppress the immune system.
Fruits are ideal foods to help open and relax a woman’s body just before her monthly cleansing, but are limited until she restores her body ecology.
Do drink more water with freshly squeezed lemon or lime juice (with stevia if you want).
In your meal planning, remember to balance expanding foods with contracting ones, eg sweet with salt. For example, when you eat contracting, salty foods, such as lean meat or eggs, balance them with expanding foods, such as raw vegetables and salad, using the 80/20 rule. This balance is critical. If your body becomes too contracted, you will start craving sugar and be tempted to abandon The Diet so you can satisfy that sweet taste. DON’T DO IT! Bring your body back into balance,
A glass of water often stops any craving for sugar. Most of the time we are not hungry, but simply dehydrated. Sometimes, however, the urge to have some “forbidden” food is just overwhelming, and people eat a little—or a lot. If that happens to you, just go back on The Diet as soon as possible. Try not to wallow in self-criticism. Just resolve not to do that again, and know that The Diet ultimately will
make you feel better and more balanced, so you will not have those cravings. If you find yourself craving sweets, try the following before giving in to the demands of the yeast:
• Drink several glasses of water close together; you may be dehydrated.
• Drink a cup of tea or a beverage with stevia.
• Eat ½ cup raw cultured vegetables or a glass of young coconut water kefir.
• Eat a leafy green salad with B.E.D. dressing.
• Sprinkle apple cider vinegar on lightly steamed vegetables.
