One of our top pieces of advice is to safeguard your fertility and health by finding alternatives to plastics whenever possible- especially if you are still planning to bare children. I am so anti-plastics if you know me, you will know. Plastics are proven to cause severe hormonal imbalances contributing to fibroids, endometriosis and various types of cancer including (and not limited to) breast and prostate cancers; poor sperm parameters; female and male infertility, birth defects, immune system suppression and developmental problems in children as well as early puberty onset in young girls — yet many people don’t realize how very dangerous and toxic they really are. Plastics are unfortunately an unavoidable part of daily life. We recommend to all of our patients in our Fertility Coaching programs to minimize their use of plastics around food and to use glass whenever possible. Here’s a few practical tips you can use to help you reduce plastic use in your daily life: -Replace plastic bottles with glass jugs or bottles; -Buy food natural unpackage foods, however when you need to buy foods in packaging choose glass or ceramic containers where you can — particularly for foods high in fat content; -Avoid heating food in plastic containers, or storing fatty foods in plastic containers or plastic/cling wrap;I see some people microwave in plastics☹️ -Do not give young children plastic teethers (dummies) or toys; -Use natural fiber clothing, bedding and furniture; -Avoid all PVC and Styrene products; What are some plastic-free alternatives in your life, and what can you adjust to do better?
